Black Diamond Dance Academy is a fun and positive place for anyone in the family to experience the art of dance. Classes are structured to teach excellent dance instruction which helps children reach developmental milestones throughout life. Black Diamond Dance Academy offers classes for ages 2 and up in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, combo classes, and dance-gymnastics classes. Our instructors are trained to teach with a positive and child-centered understanding to ensure every child has an experience that improves their self-esteem. Our instructors also have many years of extensive formal training, which provides every dancer with excellent dance instruction.

Since Black Diamond Dance Academy is located at Black Diamond Kids Center, we have the unique opportunity to offer the community dance-gymnastics classes. Our dance-gymnastics classes provide children the chance to experience both sports all in one class time.

Black Diamond Dance Academy also holds a summer recital for all the dancers to showcase our dancers and performances. It is always amazing to see the smiling faces of achievement and confidence when the dancers perform at the recitals.

Black Diamond Dance Academy Performance Company

Performance Company is a choreography only class with an emphasis on performance skills and choreography. Dancers will learn performance skills and choreography over technique. There is also a required costume, tights and shoes. Costs will be kept to a minimum; however dancers are required to have the correct items for any performances.

Guidelines:Dancer must be in enrolled simultaneously in a technique class and performance class all season in order to perform. There will be additional costs of required shoes, tights and accessories along with a performance company costume. Warm ups are optional. A team T-Shirt may also be required. Dancers should always do their best to attend class regularly. Attendance the week of a performance is mandatory. If illness or emergency occurs it will be up to the instructor to decide if the dancer is able to perform. Plans are to perform in local parades and school carnivals, recital, and one outside performance such as Great America Dance Days. There may be additional ticket costs for performances at outside venue such as Great America.

An additional technique class is required for all Black Diamond Dance Academy Performance Company members.
